1.
Hi Stewart, yes, they are all EU homolageted. I have the feeling that you will cause me some grief by trying to source one here again - am I correct? Cheers.

2. I think it is! If you do a lot of domestic stuff or narrow access jobs then that is your circus! I spoke to a guy who does for Network Rail and is looking at one for his operation! I didn't do a great deal of domestic or back yard work but I still got two discs that try to pop out and they are possibly a result of being a brash rat!
3. I thought the same, he looked frustrated..... Nice line in ppe I thought....
4. The 1928 has always been available on a turntable, still is available as an "online" product too!
5. A load of reasons Mr Lawrence! Getting a suitable trailer underneath it, positioning a suitable ring, fitting a different indeed chute, getting it homolageted, pricing it right and then trying to slot it into a very busy production schedule. Plus, the drawing office and the development people still have other things ongoing. One thing which is taking up a stack of time and money is parts supply and delivery to all of our worldwide clients and dealers too! We have been organising a 247 online parts ordering system so that our dealers are able to order, day or night, parts for the current range. The next battle is to get them to use it!
6. The fuel pump on a CM152 is an old fashioned style lift pump with two valves between the two halves. Not uncommon to get a piece of crud stuck in a valve stopping it from sealing properly. Strip it an clean it it, remove the tank and give that a right good swill too. I am mentioned the fuel shut off solenoid which is on the same side as the pump but at the front of the engine, near where the throttle cable goes to. If it is okay, the should be a resounding click off of it when you press the oil pressure override button when you first go to start her up. Thanks for the mention in despatches Ian, yes, I know I am an old bugger who has been around them for a few years!
7. Welcome to the club! Great work, get some pictures up in the Wee Chipper Club as soon as you are able. We have a BNOS 16hp going for £3,750 + vat if anyone is interested?
8. does get up my nose when a thread is de-railed and fun goes into summit else with no end!
9. On a demo of one of those pedestrian grinders we used to do - pushed the reverse button by mistake, got picked up by the gonads by the handle! I had to gently sit down and breathe deep as I curiously felt sick! Was unable to speak for a while.....
10. I wanted to go and have a look to what it is like with a view to mythering a dealer to have a stand there but too busy today and got Lincoln show tomorrow.... Woodfest Wales at the end of the week mind....
11. PeteB

Orec mowers

Same as Etesia and they were pretty awesome! I saw someone demo a walk behind by dropping the deck on a brick! That made a hell of a noise and dust but it survived!
12. I got to back there tomorrow to collect the SafeTrac that was in the arena. Good show but fearfully expensive for a family and £8 a car to park!
13. Hey Brian, it would be worth a call to Rowan Bell at Thorne Engineering at Wheldrake in North Yorkshire. They have rebuilt a few Gravelys over the years and may be able to help or do the job!
14. I go with the theme that.....for belts, moderate pressure on the middle belt, in the middle of the longest stretch, should reveal that belt below the other two. You could use a tension metre, once you have factored in the tension required, belt and pulley size etc.... For blades, always, always, always use genuine parts and sharpen to the correct value too.
15. Take it out yourself, off to an engineering company, weld and balance after a blade bed check and away you go! Batter and plate the holes in the wrap and outer shell and get on with life. Or......write it off and get a GreenMech!!!!! ;-)
16. Keeping powder dry? Maybe, maybe..... Bringing a totally new product through conception, development, birth and delivery takes a long time - especially when there is so many other things being considered for the world wide market. GreenMech is Europe's largest manufacturer of woodchippers with a broad range of machinery and a huge supply chain to consider and keep in order before we start doing other things!
17. Indeed, their are loads of things that originate from foreign parts that are worthy - iPhone, Honda engines, etc. And there is a market for everything somewhere. But it is cheap for a reason and local backup and support costs, quality engineering costs, pedigree, research and value costs. A cheap machine has non of these and the moment you pay out, it is worth so little to anyone else against a bigger machine - it is scrap. Yes it may chip a bit of brash but for how long? If it needs warranty work, who does it? And how near are they? Think on this, you have invested in a machine to do a job and invested in a located supplier. When it doesn't work who will help you and invest in you by doing so.
18. I did it once for Keith Mills at Pirton. Worked well too. When I get near a confused next week, I'll look for a picture....
19. I chopped a chute for Keith Mills at Portion years back, he said it worked fine, just ditched a wedge out of the side wall and bent her down then fish plates added for strength. Job's a goodun!
20. Please don't. Please, please don't. Save up or finance something that will do the job justice, have some value, integrity and purpose. Something that has pedigree and supports the British, European or American market - not a bloody copy that means nothing to our economy. And buy it from a local dealer too....
21. As the title said.
22. Makes it an even better find for being from the trade!
23. Thought of a crane type device?
24. More like some kind of stamp for strip steel as the two halves meet when the handle is depressed. Maybe for fitting something to the strip of steel that sits in the brakets on either side with clamps. nice find though, can imagine it blacked up with gold highlights.....
25. Steve, you have an ECM150MT30D. Also known as a Combi, the only truely dedicated chipper and shredder with indeed rollers available.
