  1. A lad who worked for me some years ago had some complex issues to do with the toilet. Preferred to go on a newspaper then chuck it in the bin! he also got into bother once for leaving turds in the holes at the local golf club or so I got told! Once confessed to doing things because of the voices in his head. The poor soul was tormented by some inner demons - harmless to me and not a bad worker on the whole but he had some complex issues for which society could not handle.
  2. Be careful with TFR, when I ran a tree company years back, I occasionally went in on a Saturday to wash and clean stuff ready for the lads to go off in on the Monday. One saturday I lined the chippers up outside, sprayed with TFR then got distracted by a phone call. Went back out and it had eaten through the lacquer and etch the powder coat. The lovely Ford Radiant red GreenMech was burnt orange! I could have wept....
  3. Brightwells are having a sale of ex council, ex EA, ex Police vehicles on this friday. I did see some 4x4 Sprinter vans in their yard when I drove past the other day. Brightwells Vehicles | Car & Commercial | Catalogue
  4. Anything available from Lindana TP? I always thought that Osbourne's, the original importer would be a good call for info.
  5. Clear track have a yard in Carnforth, may be worth giving them a holler.
  6. Network Rail have de-veg yards in Liverpool, tbh, if you want that kind of work, you may have to travel.
  7. Buy the CS100 and put an old fashioned tray/box on your rear linkage. Carry the CS and all your tools in that and you got extra flexibility around the farm! Best solution going!
  8. Now Jim, machines like the CS100 or Jo Beau cost what they do for a reason. Oh, and they are better than the Haecksler too.
  9. Tirfor winches are ace! Even used mine to get an engine out of a car with it hung off of a front loader in a tractor once. Good point on cable size. Cable length is rectified by using a shortened length to a seperate bond. Having said that, the cables can be pulled through to the desired length easy enough. We always stored both of ours with the cable removed and spooled on the cage (small one) or rolled and tied (big one). Always make sure you have spare shear pins and a screw driver or nail is not recommended!!!
  10. Where you and what is your budget? We got a few coming through the workshop and a couple of road tows ready to go!
  11. You mean at the handlebar end? Tried the usual - clean, wipe, blow,WD 40 etc....wondered if anyone has affected a manual conversion?
  12. Belt tension is more than likely done by shifting the engine across the floor of the engine bay. Pull the engine out a sit it on a bench. Remove bell housing and the clutch will be bolted to the flywheel. If it is a plate assembly then get it relined. If it is the three section friction assembly, these are seat and slightly difficult to fit but do-able.
  13. Where are you? Look at the TW website and the details of your nearest dealer will be listed.
  14. Update on this. I got hold of the WatchShop, very nicely said to return it for a full refund and agreed that the online description was lacking in vital info. Their returns system does seem spot on with a returns tracked ticket printed etc. Hopefully, all will be good and thanks to their staff for the sympathetic ear. Will avoid Samuals tbh.....
  15. Post a picture of the bell housing, it may be easy, but sometimes it is a lot easier to put the engine on the bench to be honest.
  16. Doh! This does catch out a lot of people. I always say, pull it over by hand to ensure that the drum can freely rotate then smack the red button firmly and pull it up firmly to make sure that it is engaged. Then turn the key! Welcome to the family and post a picture! Have you named it and joined the Wee Chipper Club?
  17. We say that flywheel bearings take 2-3 pumps once a week if the unit is in regular use. Over greasing can cause the grease to overheat and is less than useful. If it has a seal, then you should not Bea able to see the bearings were as a purge bearing has room for the olg grease to flow out. There are many different types of bearings fitted to different applications so check what is needed by the bearing supplier.
  18. Radical!
  19. Caz brought me a Casio Edifice for chrimble as I have worn the last Casio Protrek for the last 17 years and knowing I'm a bit gadgety, got one which bluetooths to an appointment on your phone for set up, alarms and so on. Opens it up and like the look, weight and feel. So well happy.....struggle to connect it to my Sony Aqua - after many attempts over a few days I give up. We go to Samuals who fleece me for £20 to adjust the bracelet and say "yes, we struggled to connect one last week and ended up talking to Casio, here is their number". I phone Casio, when they eventually answer, to be told that is only compatible with iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Note! I pointed out that it doesn't say that on the WatchShop page, nor Casio online and the bint in Samuals must have known this too! WatchShop don't think that I'm fair asking for the return costs and the 20 sobs bracelet cost as they weren't made aware by Casio. Grrr, Rant over......maybe ongoing:sneaky2:
  20. Try you local ground care machoinary dealer, they will have all the contacts in the trade.
  21. Just got my batch. Will see what is in the cupboard to put up a prize too!
  22. I got a HC55 that seems to have electrical gremlins on that complicated forward/reverse control. It has been slightly wayward but we managed last year. Yesterday, I managed to get it moving, via wire wiggling, but it stopped. I cannot seem to get forward or reverse now. Anyone got a Wiring diagram or hints on what to look out for? Anyone converted one to mechanical controls? Right now, I want to get it back into the shed before it blows away!
  23. Humus
  24. Forgot that the shed needs re-cladding! Bugger!
  25. Good view and stripes lawn! Trying to put a new pug engine in a Toro at the girls place and thought that it would be good to do grass but not going to happen.....
