  1. New build for existing tenants, it is on the south side of the site where the outside caravan yards was and where you could turn left to drive up the back of the main building.
  2. As I typed that I thought something was wrong!
  3. Lazy oil pressure switch? Water temp sender gone bad? Bonnet switch moving? Low battery voltage causing fuel solenoid to switch off? Faulty fuel solenoid switching off? Start with the cheap stuff if Redwood won't answer phone tomorrow but do ring them! Any warranty left from Listers?
  4. These were the units we used to get to do overheads and fit them to the AUS rods, cheaper now than 20 years ago! https://www.landmarktrading.com/tools/tree-and-hedge-tools/pole-saws/replacement-lopper-head-for-park-poles.html
  5. What make are the bypass lopers used on the AUS fibreglass rods, they were good! Pricey but good - they were made in Derby somewhere I seem to remember and came with a screw thread fitting to alloy rods (Never used in the electrial industry of course) or drilled for the fibre rods.
  6. Over 240 tonnes of concrete being pumped in to make up one floor level. Laser levelled and dry by knocking off time. No footprints left on this build - I was going to sneak in and leave my mark for prosterity!
  7. Nearly weatherproof but still a lot to do.
  8. The walls starting to be clad and a certain amount of floor prep done.
  9. Roof panel work going on.
  10. While digging out the foundation pits in made up ground from when the site was the Turner Flail Mower factory from the 60's until the 80's, some builder threw in some of his old scrap!
  11. The foundations and formwork dug and fitted and the uprights going in.
  12. The Mill Industrial Park, home to GreenMech as well as several other companies is running out of Industrial space and to cope with GreenMech’s need for more space, is having to erect a new facility. This new building will allow two companies to move from the main building and into these purpose-built premises to free up over 12,000 square feet for GreenMech to expand into over the next year or so. The following photographs show the building going up since the beginning of the year and I’ll add to them as the project nears completion. Angstrom will take up the main part with their press designing and manufacturing business, which supplies the Midlands Automotive trade with press moulds for pressing out shaped components for the likes of Aston Martin, Jaguar and Landrover while E & J Tooling are involved in the very specialist world of Thread Rolling Tools which effectively roll the threads into bolts and screws etc.
  13. Hi Nick, there wasn't one in the factory the other day and I'll have a look through the archive that I have. It is mounted on a stanchion that is above the roller box and lies along the bonnet. It also incorporates a light into the infeed which works well too.
  14. We do one which you could modify and do flat blades as well as our disc blades!
  15. To be honest, I think that their pencils were always sharp, probably too sharp, if the truth is known. After all, if we suppliers, have to eat meat at weekends too!
  16. I enjoyed it! Good to see and talk to various folk both for business with chippers and fun with owners, ex-owners and just friends as well as friendly competitors and other suppliers too.
  17. Any woodchippers gas to have sharp blades to function properly. Check the condition of the blades frequently by looking at them by taking the covers off and remember that a wood chipper is that! It isn't a stone crusher or a steel shear! The supplier should have given all this information to you when they sold the machine to you.
  18. Why not book it in and have them do it? £40 per side isn't a great deal and you could be out earning while you spend. I'd budget for a brake reline while hub us off and think on a couple of cables just in case they are knackered too. I always found that getting a job done like that more fun done by someone else while I earnt the money to pay for it!
  19. So terribly sad. Condolences and best wishes to those affected.
  20. Apart from it was a GMC van!
  21. 'One wife - leave it!'
  22. Not tree related but machinery folk may be able to shed some light! I got a Toro 82" Contour mower to top the fields at her place (horse gone now). It was a runner but with knackered engine so I chucked in a Peugeot 105 diesel and can get it to drive back and forth, steer and lift/lower the deck. But I am stumped on how to get the pto drive to the auxilary pump to work. I don't seem to get power to the switch or when I put 12v direct into the loom, nowt happens! ANyone know what the pto clutch consists of in the Saur HST unit?
  23. I got a picture somewhere of a Fordson that I pass on the way to Cromarty, I passed and thought that the bonnet was longer than mine was and it was covering a long six with a massive turbo!
  24. I thought that the V6 was going to be introduced! Isn't one available in the Amorak? GreenMech have two being changed this year so what do you guys recommend? Which has a good in built carphone, radio,cd player, sat nav etc? Which tows loads well? Which has decent service costs/intervals?
  25. The old Isuzu dealer in Leicester was always good and reasonably priced and Shepshed Ford did me a favour by fitting pattern disc brakes as Ford bits were unreasonably expensive! So they can be out there! Bristol Street in Redditch are very much the other end of the scale mind!
