  1. Forget paying for that! If you really want a scale map, register on the planning portal website for online applications. Find the maps you like to what ever scale..then picture-rip (screen grab) them and post off with your application.
  2. Top N Lop with the slogan "special rates for OAP's" Though to be fair I think business name is mostly irrelevant. People just want a decent job doing and aren't bothered about what your called.
  3. I think I'll give it a miss and go for this one.... Its far more modest !
  4. Dont know what model you have but the old HS80 had a clutch brake to stop the blades running which in the past has caught me out when its jammed/or ive caught it open.
  5. I much prefer a bowline than spliced eye, especially on trees where there's the chance your rope end will catch in a tight fork when ascending or retrieving your rope at the end of a climb . Having the option to untie can save alot of grief.
  6. Personally Id go for a more recognized make. I remember seeing this guide on powerhouse some time ago. It doesn't make good reading. eBay.co.uk Guides - logsplitters wood splitter powerhouse
  7. Nice and tight. I do mine around the 140ft-lbs mark
  8. Im afraid im the bearer of bad news . These notes are not legal tender after the 30th June. Meaning thats shops dont have to accept them. After June 30 if a bank or building society refuses to swap a note, consumers have the right to swap the notes at the Bank of England itself. Now I cant see shops or banks turning people away with these notes as but they have the right to.
  9. Just found out yesterday that all £20.00 notes with Edward Elgar on will be illegal tender in 10 days time . So if you have any gathering dust you better spend them quick. You can still exchange them at the bank etc till the end of the year but shops have the right not to accept them. 20VWA4-poster.pdf
  10. Forget buying the husky teeth there a total and absolute rip off!. Standard L + R finger teeth will fit that grinder no problem. Saturn use to sell them for a 2-3 quid each. The only difference is the standard teeth have a shorter locating shaft. The husky ones had a pointless pin at the opposite end of the tooth which meant you had to take the whole assembly apart to replace them. Standard teeth you can just loosen the bolts on the wheel and slide on new ones. Ive only ever used standards on mine.
  11. Milner off road all the way ! I get all my hilux spares from them
  12. Thats what surveys are for. If you dont do them you dont know what you might be trashing. Putting up this type of fencing is a good thing, and for good reason. Native British reptiles and amphibians are either in decline some are rare and all have lost vast swathes of habitat over the previous decades. Its only right the developers should stump up the cash to survey and relocate our native wildlife where there is potential for habitat loss.
  13. Norton 3x are just fast cutting ceramic grinding wheels. Norton Abrasives Products and Accessories You can dry grind chipper blades no problem just don't blue the edges. As for hollow grind, personally I never have, with no ill effect or loss in efficiency. In fact bench grinders do hollow grind to a lesser degree. On a 4.5" wheel you wouldn't tell the difference.
  14. Take them back and vent your spleen. I think there taking the mick or given you a wrong set. If you ground your own, judging by the condition on the right one you could have them sharpened in few minutes using a norton3x wheel.
  15. Just ordered the same clutch from Norams European distributor Wetherby Engineering Group : Main Page. £175.00 delivered within week from the US... a saving of £800.00:thumbup: Husqvarna 450% price markup:thumbdown: Pays to shop around!
  16. The noram centrifugal pulley clutch on my 13hp husky stump grinder has finally worn down (after 5 years steady abuse) and i need a replacement. Husqvarna want just under £1000.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!! ...seems like daylight robbery to me so if anyone knows of a cheaper place let us know
  17. Agree The guy was after some help, not a lecture from the self-appointed richeous brigade.
  18. Go and buy him some bio oil to make up for all the gallons of shite hes been spraying everywhere for the last 50 years....besides used oil causes every type of cancer under the sun
  19. The way I see it is, even if the trailer is empty, if its plated to 3.5t you should have a gtw of 7000kg. I dont know of any van that has a kerb weight of less than 3.5t which can pull a 3.5t trailer. I didnt realise this either as I tow my 3.5t ifor with my hilux and thats a no no too.
  20. If youve got a van you should have a GTW of 7000kg to tow a trailer plated at 3.5t. (excluding LR and a few other 4x4's which can pull that weight)
  21. Stihl just want to protect their brand image i.e keep prices inflated , and stop a price war by companies companies driving down the cost. The whole hand over thing is complete guff, besides I find many companies selling stihl 'hand over products' have limited knowledge on what their supplying so whats the point. What we need is asda to come in and do the same what they did for levis jeans
  22. With so many saws being nicked in bulk these days, I think Stihl should make a dummy 'stool pigeon saw' capable of housing a tracker inside. That would be the only way of retreving any saws or at least getting justice. I dont think its beyond the realms of possibility as some modern trackers can fit inside a match box. Though saying that stihl would'nt give a hoot either way as they just want to sell saws, but insurance companies would.
  23. If you dont know the basic names of your own kit then somethings not right
  24. Looking for a tipper and came across this.. Tipper / Timberwolf chipper:confused1: / saws and climbing kit for sale on ebay. Personally I wouldnt touch it with a barge pole. IVECO TIPPER/TIMBER WOLF WOOD CHIPPER/TOOLS on eBay (end time 09-Feb-10 11:24:30 GMT)
