  1. Ti, I'm one of the most sceptical people I know. Learning about tree science has proved to me that evolution is a real thing. It's there in black and white. It's also there every day when you're looking at a job. Enjoy Spain, Mark.
  2. Penny was late to drop there... Also: Entheogens.
  3. Just arrived. Thanks.
  4. Cheers Rob!
  5. The mind boggles: https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump
  6. I didn't mean to post the whole album there. Thought I'd cropped it at 'Fare Thee Well'.
  7. The news could also be that he's not fit for presidency. Or 'Right Wing Bigot with Katie Hopkins fetish in "news should be impartial" shocker.'
  8. No. It doesn't wake me up. Befriending the sensation of tinnitus rather than seeing it as an enemy, gives it less power over you. As said before, the more you listen, the louder it gets. So just don't listen. Would have saved myself a fortune in beer tokens if I'd worked that out in my twenties...
  9. That's how I manage tinnitus now. When people think 'MY tinnitus is really loud' they're giving it an identity it doesn't deserve. The more attention you pay to it, the louder it seems to get. It took some time to reach this point though.
  10. A little. We used to use breathing exercises as part of karate. I've read quite alot of Alan Watts' work. I've read about Jung and his theories: 'Man and His Symbols' being particularly of interest. I've had bi-lateral tinnitus since my teens which has deterred me from practicing meditation in the past. It kind of gets in the way. However, having dipped my toes into mindfullness, I reckon that acceptance of the thought processes is not dissimilar to the acknowledgement, acceptance and dissmissal of the noise my ears seem to generate.
  11. Really?
  12. As a fellow forty year old with a niggling black dog, I've found myself in a better place already as a result of this mindfullness clatter.
  13. Beddes is an alien.
  14. The only way I could see it happening, is if insurance companies offered reduced premiums for those using winter tyres in winter.
  15. DMT is a profound thing. I'm intrigued by mindfullness. Cheers Mr Idiot.
  16. Aye, It's a shambles mate. mind, I haven't a £100 note in donkeys
  17. Yup, and while no-one other than the queen would win a prize, at least the participants would feel happy about helping out a good cause, while generating much needed taxes from the ticket sales.
  18. I tend to go to a till with a person at it. If there were more people working behind the counter in a bank, they'd still punt their products but it wouldn't seem so full on. The people behind the glass counter have been on commission for years. You just notice it more when it's not happening all the time.
  19. I didn't think people were workshy. I thought it was immigrunts taking are jobs. Or something.
  20. What do you think about the idea of a lottery to pay for the queen's upkeep?
  21. Copied from elsewhere but I agree with the sentiment, it would be good if they had a lottery everytime the queen wanted something new though. That way, people could choose whether they supported the royal family or not and all taxes raised would go back to the government: "You couldn't make it up. Fifty elected Tory representatives want you to buy scratch cards to buy a yacht for a woman (officially) worth about half a billion quid. Tory logic... Not in dire need and worthy of extra funding: NHS. Social care. Schools. Emergency services. Prison services. Grenfell survivors. 128,000 homeless children. The million plus families driven to foodbanks. The disabled. The vulnerable. Families having to choose between heating and eating. The 4,134 people who are estimated to be sleeping rough on any one night. In dire need and worthy of extra funding: The Queen" http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/12/27/britannia-win-lottery-fifty-tory-mps-back-new-lotto-game-let/amp/?WT.mc_id=tmg_share_tw&__twitter_impression=true
