  1. All the best Justin. Hope you make a speedy return to fighting fitness.
  2. If you want actually enter for the exams then I reckon the 3 day course would be very valuable. However, a fair bit of prior knowledge would be expected as I think it is mainly for people that have done the course. However, as you say, if you have swatted up yourself it could work.
  3. Holdall from Army Surplus - strong, fairly waterproof and only £10.
  4. I wish he would too skyhuck. I respect your compassion for them. I believe we all have free will to choose how to live, what to believe etc. This means that some troubled people decide to live lives full of hatred and violence eg in Zimbabwe. If God didn't allow consequences of our free will actions to occur then we wouldn't really have free will. At the same time I believe if people have active faith in God and choose to do good, then crazy stuff like healings and miracles can happen.
  5. Nice one Jay - hope you have a long and rewarding career in Arb.
  6. Well, I can't say that I have been there and seen what's happening with my own eyes - but I do believe it is possible for God to heal people skyhuck. I is a Christian, see?
  7. Such as the healings. It could be satan I guess but I don't expect satanists to use the name of Jesus so often as they do.
  8. Just read it. Seems like a fairly well put together draft I think. I like that they warn in the introduction that it is a mistake to manage them in an overly risk-averse manner. This is very subjective in itself though? It seemed odd that trees with no significant defects do not need recording during the inspections (4.3.3) - I could see that causing problems in court if 'assumptions' are to be made about trees present within the area. Surely it would make more sense to note the tree down in the survey anyway while you're there? Liked the primary consideration to modify the target where there are hazards rather than recommending arb works straight away. What do you reckon Tony - being someone who carries out lots of inspections you must have considerably more insight in to this than me.
  9. I also know Phil - he subbed with us for a while in Bristol. Speedy climber I remember. I think Ivan used to work for you too? Hope you find someone soon.
  10. Have a read through the syllabus then buy some books and download as many free bits and pieces as you can. http://www.treelifetraining.co.uk/technicianscertificte.htm
  11. I have been following this a little on the web. Pretty crazy stuff indeed. The style is quite offensive to my Englishness but I do believe that God seems to be doing something over there.
  12. Oh. How did you find that out? Maybe it is time for a new lid after all then.
  13. Congratulations Tuppy!!
  14. Oh, I see you can't attach things to PMs. If you PM me your email address I can email it to you.
  15. Hi Blakes 7 - I am doing it this year too. How did you get on with the papers the other week? I certainly cannot claim to have much experience with woodland surveys but I will PM you the one I did during my course so you can see what you think. Your feedback would be appreciated. And I would also love to see any more professional woodland surveys that anyone on here would care to share.
  16. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  17. Cool, let us know. Maybe if there were a few of us potentially interested a group discount might be in order?!
  18. Wow, cool idea salsb. I would like to try that combo out. Definite potential for those hot summer days.
  19. These guys aren't too far from me.http://www.canopyaccess.co.uk/index.html Their training and the pictures on the site look really good. Bet it's expensive.
  20. Nay bother man - I'll give the guys I bought them from a bell.
  21. I have the vertex vent with the Peltor setup - my muffs are the chipper ones (black). Justin, you got any hygiene kits for them?
