  1. I'm not Darren - he's my mate that works there.
  2. Aye, a couple of those would do the trick too!
  3. "Do you need an extension lead for your tools?" "How did you get up there?!" "Hang on, there's only 2 of you - I thought you were tree fellas" (irish accent required). One guy that made me chuckle kept asking if I "would like some cheese?". A cup of coffee would have sufficed.
  4. Welcome raymond - post those pics, would love to see 'em.
  5. My mate Darren has just done it. He works there though so probably isn't the most impartial person to ask if it's any good. Sorry, that's not particularly helpful. If you like I could get him to ring you if you PM me your number.
  6. You heard the man High Scale - time to hang up your harness.
  7. There's a recession on Carl - I gotta make a few extra quid where I can.
  8. Stick to one type of poison for the evening - mixing it up always gives me a bad head. Ditto the comment about not drinking on an empty stomach too.
  9. Hey Nick - I keep seeing a van signed up with your logo parked up in Southmead. Is that one of your guys or did you sell it? It doesn't seem to move much now.
  10. C'mon then Stevo - what's your answer?
  11. Great news. Sorry, what's a DIDS camp?
  12. That's the crown coming off for the first part of this job:http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2372 Great vids.
  13. You'll breeze it Nick, rain or shine! All the best.
  14. Ok, thanks Salsb. Looks like my supplier could have tried harder to get a sale!!
  15. Yes of course. Still different from a 3 year guarantee though?
  16. Forget that - looking at the pics again I can see other broadleafs that look fine. Silly me.
  17. This may well be a laughable suggestion, but have you had a lot of high winds there? Or is it in a bit of a wind tunnel? Just a thought - it could explain the difference in leaf cover between the lower lying shrubs and the taller broadleaf trees...
  18. Hey - I was going to buy a new one but asked again to check how long the Vertex is good for you. The supplier phoned Petzl for me to check and they said 10 years!
  19. Hi Phenom. A friend of mine recently did the online version - his verdict was that it was definitely not the best way to do it. I am not 100% sure why but I think it was down to the absence of any seminar/discussion elements and the quality of some of the materials. You could do it at Westonbirt which isn't too far from you but the cost would be similar to that at Merrist Wood.
  20. Brilliant stuff Reg - thanks for sharing and informing.
  21. His voice remained very calm throughout! Impressive video.
  22. Like I said, personally I don't dig his style - too brash and American for my English sensibilities! My guess is Skyhuck that in a situation like this you wouldn't be removing their free will - more likely you would be acting out God's will; bringing peace and countering violence. You would be giving the offender's a further choice/encouragement to stop rather than removing their free will. Maybe. I ain't no theologian.
