  1. Try some of the guys advertising on the banner to the right of the page. I have personally bought from F R Jones and Treeworker and would recommend both - they should have everything you need. If you can, try as much kit as you can before purchasing so you buy right first time.
  2. That's the spirit!
  3. You too good lookin'!
  4. Original Mountain Marathon - was the KIMM; Karrimor MM
  5. Ok then!
  6. I like that - I think this rule applies to most jobs, not just Arb.
  7. And the cool pics!
  8. Nice reductions there Phenom. Those are shiny trousers - what are they?!
  9. Talking of which - can we get a donate button back on the site? Sorry Steve, I am sure you already have lots to do with the upgrade...
  10. Ha ha - yes indeedy mate. Should have pointed out it was a council job so tree officer's spec not mine!
  11. Felled this ash today. It had 2 I. hispidus brackets on it - one at about 6ft and one about 20ft. Pictures show the ring with the bracket on (at 6 ft) and the resulting internal decay, and the butt. There was a small internal cavity in the butt but this was linked to an old wound at ground level I think rather than the Inonotus.
  12. It's now working! Did you fix it that fast or was I being a clutz for not getting it first time?! (yep - probably the latter) Lovin' it Steve.
  13. ...except I used to use the 'unread posts' link in the top right hand corner to browse through recent posts but now the link has gone. Have you decided to replace it with the 'todays posts' button at the top? If so, does that show the same results as unread posts or just posts within the last 24 hours?
  14. Seems to be working luverly jubbly on Safari browser for Mac here. I like it - top marks Bullman!
  15. There were lots of slippery slopes up there - I fell down quite a few....
  16. ...but I've never done anything as daft as that Justin!!!!
  17. After 9/11 you had to get transit visas for america if you were passing through - even if you did not leave the airport. Muggins managed to lose his visa between arriving and getting to the next departure lounge. After much fuss with the authorities and profuse sweating I made the plane with seconds to go.
  18. Hi Steve - if you PM me your email address I could send you my efforts that I did during the course last year. I certainly wouldn't say they are all that but might give you a starting point? Paul
  19. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Andrew. Paul
  20. Awesome Reg - you got some killer skills!!
  21. Here are a few from Westonbirt (feel like a cheat taking photos there!) on Monday.
  22. I have income protection which probably isn't quite the same but it's with Pioneer Friendly. They are pretty reasonable and pay out without too much hassle.
  23. Glad you survived that - looks like it could have been very nasty indeed.
  24. Amazingly some competitors completed their courses and made it to the overnight camp no probs. They admitted it was quite tough but not impossible. I think the major problem was the volume of water around the HQ and car park.
  25. I would have thought it was more of a biodiversity issue through loss of deadwood habitat rather than a H&S problem. Very odd.
