  1. Sure, http://www.qtra.co.uk/cms/index.php?section=80
  2. Ah, the QTRA website says it's in Warwickshire so I might give it a miss. There's one in Bristol in March...
  3. Ditto - might be interested if isn't too far from me.
  4. http://gypoclimber.com/view.php?pg=groundman A few pointers on there!
  5. Doh! You gotta be quick!
  6. Surely only if you are VAT registered?
  7. Hi Steve. I don't think you can get them anywhere. We certainly tried whilst on the course but were told that ABC Awards don't release them. Seems a bit off to me.
  8. Sheesh - you guys sure know how to take the wind out of a man's sails! How about "nice one Giles - hope it wins you lots of jobs and earns you lots of money" etc...
  9. My Meindl's have lasted more than 2 so I think I'll stick with them. Cheers.
  10. Can anyone confirm that all chainsaw boots are VAT exempt? I thought compulsory safety clothing was exempt. Want to buy some Meindl Airstreams but both websites that I have seen them on list the price then say 'excluding VAT' as if it would be added. I see Jonesies boots are all listed as VAT exempt which made me wonder....
  11. Ok cool - thought that 'fact' may have been an old wives tale when you said two had caught fire! Great pics, must have been fun. Did you have to use a throw bag to get to the first branch?
  12. I had always thought that wellies were quite fire resistant. I guess maybe the thick bark is but the foliage ain't?
  13. Jolly well done sir!
  14. So, did you pass?
  15. Come on now, don't be shy!
  16. Cool pics. And nice shirt!
  17. Very nice Dean.
  18. Very nice Jeepster!
  19. Nice one Nick.
  20. In the meantime, here it is folks..http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/group.php?groupid=6
  21. Hey Steve - is there a 'groups' button or link somewhere? I just followed your link from another thread but can't work out how to find the groups from the main page. Ta!
  22. I have created a south west user-group and invited a couple of members that I know are in the area. Sign up if you are in the vicinity. Use it to find out who is in the area - network to find subbies, employers, suppliers, etc.... Who knows, if we get a good group going we could always meet up for a climb and a beer at some point. cheers, Paul
  23. No. Every night I wish I had though.
  24. Nice one Lee - sounds like a great idea. Will run it past the chief and let you know. John - I had a similar thought recently re regional groups. There seem to be more members popping up here in the south west and it makes sense for people to put faces to names and have a good bit of networking and meet up for the odd jolly.
  25. Spent 2 weeks on Islay a few years back - what a stunning place. And the whisky was pretty good too...
