Did you challenge them on it? Seems a bit of an anomaly... Matty - do you find the Klima Airs ok to climb in? Others I know that have them say they are quite heavy which put me off. They sure look pretty indestructable though.

Does anyone know the difference between the courses of a) QTRA training and b) Practitioner's guide? I assume to become a licensed user you would need to do the QTRA training?

Hi Steve. I don't think you can get them anywhere. We certainly tried whilst on the course but were told that ABC Awards don't release them. Seems a bit off to me.

My Meindl's have lasted more than 2 so I think I'll stick with them. Cheers.

Can anyone confirm that all chainsaw boots are VAT exempt? I thought compulsory safety clothing was exempt. Want to buy some Meindl Airstreams but both websites that I have seen them on list the price then say 'excluding VAT' as if it would be added. I see Jonesies boots are all listed as VAT exempt which made me wonder....

I had always thought that wellies were quite fire resistant. I guess maybe the thick bark is but the foliage ain't?
