  6. can't see the point of a big chipper on a mog the chip boxes are totally inadequate, be alright if you had a decent chip trailer though
  7. You could always remove the tree using an air-spade and root pruning technique

  12. I had the area VOSA enforcment boys around mine the other day, one of them is a mate of my Dads, if your ag/forestry/horticultural exempt from using a tacho, as longs as you don't go out of your ''50k as the crow flys radius'' you don't even have to fill in a log book, and thats the law!

  22. As an employer of both self employed, PAYE, and sub contract staff , I can tell you the contractor you are working for is responsable for all insurances period! As for experience, this is how I judge anyone freelance or whatever, if you tell me you want top doller because you can do this that and the other, then you turn up on a job and it turns out you're not all that I won't hire you again, obviously if you can do the walk and the talk you're in! If you're honest with me and tell me your limitations and don't demand the prices of the top climbers, i'll respect that and allocate you jobs you're competant to do safely... Honesty is the best policy, best of luck going freelance.. One other thing never let an employer push you beyond your capabilitys!
