  1. I'm busy right now and will be for the next 8 days, we're on a council street tree pollard fest..... But after that zilch! and the blower hasn't rung for over a week.... I'm not scare mongering, but I think next year will be a hard one, I think money will be very very tight..
  2. Its turned deadly quiet here in Suffolk! how about the rest of you guys? usually its flat out this time of year...
  3. Do any of you guys run or use a lorry with a digital taco? Are you using it? what software are you using to download your driver card DATA? or do you use a company to download the DATA for you? I have been told, if i'm not driving further than a 50k radius from my operating centre I don't need to use my taco or fill in a log book. But does this mean if you drive more than 50k's per day you should use your tacograph? I can't seem to get a clear answer to this question! Another thing i've been told if you use your digital taco then you must take the DATA off the driver card monthly and take the Data off of the digital tacograph every three months, though one bloke I know told me this should be yearly, can anyone clarify this? THIS COUNTRYS GONE H&S MAD,IMO ITS ALL ONE HUGE BLOODY TAX!....
  4. I'll be the first to buy one mate if you can also throw in a years worth of work to go with it... Seriously mate best of luck with your project, the skid mount grinder looks like a sure fire winner..
  5. too late I wouldn't part with a penny over 18k now...
  6. Place an add on Earborist or on here, reading chipper wanted, you never know who might have a chipper for sale, you might get a very good deal!
  7. Hawthorn is rather nasty though Andy, I'd have had a heap of mixed timber and brash to do the demo properly..
  8. yep I reckon i'll be getting one, i'd love to hang off until the APF
  9. Cabstars are the best small truck on the market period! well thats my opinion
  10. I reckon once you've owned a grcs or hobbs, theirs no going back..
  11. which one have you used and which one do you like best?
  12. I'd hate to own the new Euro 4 engines
  13. 5.2 4 pot , Euro 3
  14. Acceleration and hills definatly, but basicly in general it feels a tad under powered
  15. Same as Pete
  16. i'm sure we can work around your date Tony
  17. to behonest i'm finding it a bit under-powered, it might be because the engines still a bit tight, any ideas?
  18. Until January that is, then rev limiters must be fitted.
  19. I think coronet cuts have their place
  20. Believe it or not Marc i'd say they sell more fells because they're easy to sell, a firm is more likely to loose out financialy on TD's than on trims and thins.
  21. When I was hunting around for my new 7.5 ton lorry, I had a salesman from Iveco swear until he was blue in the face that I could legally tow up to 2 tons good job I knew better..
  22. I liked everything about it Ed, i'm not sure about the tow hitch thingy though. I like the way everything is accesable, I like the way it crunches up those bloody forks with ease, imo its a very good strong chipper, its very compact for a 9'' chipper too. Saying that I havn't had a demo of any other chippers in its class, obviously i'd have to give the others a try before I made my final purchase.
  23. I had a demo of a schliesing 350 yesterday what a machine! i'd love to own one.
  24. Nope never...
  25. Nice one Steve, we'll have to get our heads together soon, I'm really looking forward to this event.
