  1. well I haven't driven a Navara lately, But if either are being used offroad good tyres are ann absolute must. If you go for the L200 budget in a bowser for the load bay, we had one return 12mpg towing 2,700kg gross trailer.
  2. If all else fails matt I'll go and take another pic at the weekend.
  3. Thats great for a first attempt. There is a crocodile at the country park I used to work at, I'll try and find a pic. I'll probably get shot for saying this but I prefer chainsaw carvings that are exactly that, chainsaw carved, not the ones that are sanded up with all manner of tackle, perhaps I'm just rough. I like carving but I'm pretty rubbish at it.
  4. Hell fire I wish I could charge that! I've been riverside for 3 years now!

    blowers

Yep they are. I have a pair of those anti vibe gloves to wear when using my BG85, but as you say I tend to use mine as little as possible
  6. We had a demo at work the other week its very good. our Nottingham depot has used one for a good while now with no problems at all, I hope we get one soon, I like the fact it doesn't need a wire cable and you can use rope.
  7. No not at all no one mentioned MEWP!

Fight it to the bitter end Bob, I work for a government agency now, we went through all this over last 18 months. After 3 years in the job a folder full of tickets I was graded as a new starter!! its took me 18 months of battle but hopefully next week I'll get the grade I deserve. Good Luck with ya appeal
  9. i guess its a 125 with 150hrs.
  10. well done! the start of a long and winding road!
  11. the two biggest things to blame for a vehicle getting stuck are the driver and the tires its running on! I ran a hi-lux on MT's and did many off road training courses I could get the hilux to follow any landy anywhere. What I couldn't put up with was the sea sickness, appauling road handling, lack of a proper low range, abismal towing capacity lack load carrying ability, its hunger for clutch kits, and most of all its rotting body on a 5 year old vehicle. I don't deny my Landy has its faults, but it'll still be working long after my old hilux is in the scrap heap in the sky!
  12. 8 rim sprocket .325 chain 15" bar oh thats only when the ******g thing decides to run!
  13. You've answered your own question! that screw holds it on!

The county council here went through a pay review when I worked for the Ranger service 5 years ago. Job Evaluation they called it, we stayed about right but at the time their Forestry/Arb boys took a battering loosing about 5k/pa.
  16. Steve, Its a Land Rover thing - You wouldn't nderstand! LOL!
  17. LOL we got it again today flippin rain seems to be moored up over our job!!
  18. Doesn't look like you got the rain like wot we got today!
  19. Yep its madness! Dad has a mate who is a Chippy, his site agent told him he'd be kicked off site if he bought his off cuts home for kindling at the end of the day! It was true recycling and the old boy at the wood yard earnt a bit of beer money loading kindling with the tractor. Not no more
  20. fair enough.
  21. With a shipping container, its quite easy, There was a firm round here with a container with super posh lock boxes. The thieves just went in through the side with a gas axe. If the location is remotish and they have access to a gas axe you can be in a container in minutues without even touching the locks! A gas axe is almost silent.
  22. Look I don't agree with it anymore than you! But the EA have a zillion policy's on the Environment and Pollutions and unfortuneatly that includes Bonfires burning commercial waste. It doesnt bother me as I don't store chip or logs and don't own any land. I was merely commenting on whats happening around here and that I can see it getting far worse.
  23. LOL! I know a lad who used to have a 60' pulling rope for his landy its now about 20' in two years! he just cuts every time he can't undo his granny knots!
  24. Yep it probably does and there are guys been doing it for forty years that have had visits this last year! In reality it has become more common in the last couple of yeras and probably will get more so as the EA play their part in pollution control etc
