    2 hopefully, the last section weighed 6.5 tonnes, which considering the rest of the tree combined only added up to 9.3 tonnes came as a bit of a surprise. Not least to the crane driver, who only had 5 tonnes of capacity at that reach......

  16. I have just rebuilt a 660, the cylinder looked about the same as yours. Al Smith recommended oven cleaner for getting the slag off the cylinder. I honed mine before putting it back together, came up nice, seems to run ok now.

    I do use the lanyard as a flip line, but i'll probably break out the wire core on Monday. Two truck loads I think, watch this space.....

    Nasty area, I keep telling the wife we should move somewhere nicer. Honey fungus is the strong favorite. Just stripped it to a pole today, crane coming on monday to take the stem down. Had it stripped by 11am, then spent most of the day shovelling up dead twigs and needles. 2 transit loads of them. Every limb i dropped just crumpled into a piles of tiny fragments.
