It was shortened to aid manouverability, it is still 18 tonnes gross, with about ten tonne payload. The bed is now 4.2 metres, so if i stack it to the cab roof it's fully loaded, depending on the density of the timber obviously. Now its nice and short I can reverse it down drives, even on suburban narrow(ish) roads.

Here's the bigger timber from the same tree. These pieces were between 4 and 7 feet in diameter, so it was off with the grapple and on with the hook and slings. Some of the bigger sections I stood up for the carver to work on them upright. The bigger sections weighed in at between 2.5 and 3 tonnes. Maximum capacity for the crane really,

Hmm, same machine. The one I'v used has only done about 8 hours from new, so I suppose that makes a difference. I'll get back to you in a year. Was the machine you had a hire machine?

What engine did you have in the 190? I have used the 45hp turbo 190 and it chips very well.

Which ratner did you mean then? What do you mean by "its off comments from a dealer of t/w"? That statement makes no sense. You still havent explained your comments in the treemotion v sequoia thread either, or are you just ignoring that and hoping it will go away?

I presume you are referring to Gerald Ratner's infamous remark about selling crap? By extension therefore you are saying that Timberwolf chippers are crap. Of course, you're a Greenmech dealer. BTW, you still havent explained this comment

I wouldnt waste my money on a schliesing of any age. Great machines, but overpriced in my opinion. Timberwolf support in this area seems pretty good. They arent my favourite chippers, but for the money its probably the better bet.

The wire fid I have from Nod looks to be about 1mm diameter wire.

The 084 will get around a 4 minute per day rating I'd imagine. However I have a special deal for local authorities, for a small fee I will take it off your hands and dispose of it safely.
