  1. You my friend are BANNED!
  2. I just got some Blaze to try with my cinch as Ive been using Bluemoon, (shhh!) and of course it's not the right diameter although it works just fine, still going to retain the ISC two way snap though. I hear Blaze is a bitch to splice which is why I got some to see.
  3. Orange is good, just put your hair up in little pigtails, chew on a baby dummy and wear nice white cotton gloves.
  4. Build more roads not railways! It was so different in the 1990's:001_tt2:
  5. Because they are not very good? Actually I have a picture of my friends bloody knee after a MS200t chain went straight through a pair of HiFlex and that was on a chain slow down.
  6. I bet their rushing out right now with tape measures over their shoulders, reams of material, wads of kevlar protection, ready to meet your demands.
  7. For years beaver nylon outer shells were chosen as hard wearing and forgiving, then every one wanted stretchy, so Schoeller and other type material fitted this demand but the downside was it rips more easily. Eh? Schoeller material is much better at withstanding tearing as it stretches. Chainsaw protective trousers are no guarantee that you will be protected if you stick a saw in your leg though. Better than jeans but still not fool proof.
  8. Thanks, I might give Vince a call.
  9. Adapt a seat belt holder from a car is what we've talked about in the past.
  10. I use a silver bull bag, it's my second and both have blown out the stitching which I have now replaced with whipping twine, we are having some made up now, tougher material/stitching, genuine velcro etc, just for something to do.
  11. You'll have to ask Nod about the course, I managed to teach myself before the course, it's simple and you will pick it up easily. I could make you one if John or Rich sends me the spec for their RG, I don't use one myself.
  12. Next time we hook up Rupe I'll show you how to splice.
  13. Reg are they 24mm slings that attach the block? Big top!
  14. Sounds like they are constructively cleaning!
  15. Interesting...Drool over Steve Ibelings Winch Bollard
  16. Give Terry a call if you haven't all ready. Treeschool - Arborist and Training Provider - Terry McGovern
  17. Welcome to DMM Professional - DMM Professional Nice.
  18. Ringing up? You gotta be doing something bizzare to cut your hands while ringing up with a large saw.
  19. That sucks! Boo hoo!
  20. My friend is contracted in for test pulls on trees, he broke a perfectly good Oak tree once.
  21. It's always worth learning about the creatures that can live in trees.
  22. It's just an awareness course as far as I can see, I have been on one which I enjoyed but there is no way on earth that it's worth £160.
  23. £160! I would love them to justify that cost, £1600 for ten people!!
  24. I was told about this incident pretty much straight after it happened by my friend who's mate is the guy who owns the chipper, he apparently turned away to take a call when he turned back the guy was on his way through, he quickly stopped the machine and saved the poor guy from a horrible death.
  25. If the saw seized then the piston, rings and bore would be damaged, I can't understand why the crank is damaged.
