  1. Rupe did you ever do a refresher, planning to?
  2. Looks great, non barked, block legs would be nicer imo.
  3. That end video, he actually gets back up then fells the top straight onto the house porch, if I rememember rightly. Going way too big he was. So Dyneema type ropes better for lifting rather than dropping loads onto?
  4. Fantastic riding, fantastic filming and editing.
  5. That's very honest of you and I applaude you for posting now and for sharing your knowledge here, I really wish you the best for the future, I am sure it will be bright.
  6. Thanks, for a minute there I thought it was just my eyes,.
  7. I've booked a flight for tonight, the final bury done by machine?
  8. ad15, what's with the pinkish hue?
  9. Thanks Nigel, that's very interesting, are the lanyards tested in batches or once you have passed one, or several, what ever the case may be, does that cover all future lanyards that come out of the factory as long as no manufacturing changes take place?
  10. Sorry buddy I didn't see your post, I prefer the Beeline, the cover on the hrt fluffs up and makes it harder to make it look nice and neat.
  11. We just looked at 48 odd leylandaii that surround a factory unit, they are maybe forty foot in height and the owner has been told my his LA if he doesn't fell them then they, (The LA) will take him to court to force him to do it and impose all relevent costs on him, they did give him an option of a very heavy reduction but he would rather see them gone. The complaints about the trees come from the houses behind the unit that had originally been much further from the factory unit boundary until they were knocked down and rebuilt closer to the trees. We also have 250 meters of leylandaii to take out in the summer on another job, oh what fun.
  12. I have put loads of Bat and Bird boxes up, very enjoyable work.
  13. I have seen bats once in a old Beech tree in a old church yard, they were Pips but unfortunately their lair was cut out of the tree, it was maybe 15 years ago and we weren't then as aware as we are today and before I get a slagging, I was grounding that day, we did go on a Bat awarness evening with BANES council years back, lovely summer evening, Beech woods, Bat detectors, good fun.
  14. Great last shot Paul.

I have a dog of an LDV, Transit engine, under powered, brakes are vague but damn it's done some work.
  17. I passed a new harness with no CE mark on it when I did my LOLER course, I passed the course. Hahahah. Hold on...was that a knock on the door?
  18. Looks easy
  19. Hahaha, not right again, my apologies.
  20. Maxijacket is the cover, Yale do a 12 strand cover made from Dacron and also a 16 strand cover which I guess is made from the same material but has a tighter weave to allow smoother action of mechanical devices and to provide better abrasion resistance. I hope I got this correct.
  21. I have seen no evidence so far that that lanyard has ever been inspected.
  22. I think the AGE may have been a factor.
  23. Well, the pictures tell the story, that lanyard was used to pull the Ark from the floods.
  24. Your lanyard is Marlow 9mm Boa and it appears that that website has made a typo. Nice splice.
  25. Good post Gord.
