  1. Good stuff Taupo.
  2. Children? We won't let them in.
  3. Good idea, I was watching the aerial rescue at the Arb show and as good as it was I couldn't help but feel that a more realistic demonstration could be performed with running saws, chippers, a little screaming and a couple of buckets of blood thrown around to provide a little Shock value as Shock is something that we can all suffer and it's suprising how debilitating it can be.
  4. I don't think the program is available anymore but a very good watch it was. One of my first employers would only use Latin names in his reports so you would be in trouble if you didn't know any, forgotten them all now though.
  5. You could always pull the unburied splices back out, stitch the crossover and try again.
  6. it's all good!
  7. It looks like three different people did those splices.
  8. No you and Bob are correct, it was just last night, heavy dose of peyote:sneaky2: Magnetic karabiners vid? flipping amazing. Ignore the first bit in my post, I'm on the Butane.
  9. I thought it was a young Billy Bragg.
  10. It's you. cu plăcere Bob.
  11. This is cool.
  12. Climb the tree, pick a good point for your top, look down through the tree to find the centre of the tree, this will help you find a good point to start the reduction, I don't spiral the tree I work my way down from the top and split the tree into quarters, top to bottom a quarter of the tree at a time.
  13. Nice, how much did that cost you?
  14. Arr, tis right.
  15. Both statements are correct to an extent. If you send a team out with their own truck, chipper, groundies and saws to do a job that you do not have the time for or not in your area. They are subbies, therefore needing their own PL. But if they are working for you despite you not being there, you would still be responsible for their insurance coverage. Rupe?
  16. That Merc is sweet, massive tool box, I used to drive one, a little under powered but they go on for ever.
  17. What kind of time did it come down Paul? Could have been nasty.
  18. So your not supposed to wear a climbing helmet on the ground with the chin strap undone/hanging down? Who came up with that gem The Pathetic Sharks?
  19. Oh, forgot to add that I wear a Farriers apron at all times.
  20. I have never burnt any trousers with a chainsaw exhaust, polesaw yes, chainsaw no.
  21. Climbing helmet in the tree, soon as I get down I put a saucepan on my head.
  22. Onelab nice work, I'm interested in the Marlowbraid splice, show pics if it starts behaving itself!
