I just set it up to try out that idea Steve and as the hitch is supposed to work independently of the RW then I suppose it may work but after using the RW on a Oak, dead wood today and just clipping the lanyard over the shoulder I don't think it would be of any advantage? I never, well hardly ever, climb SRT and only then for access so I had some good fun today.
  2. Yeah you do have to push the hitch up, it will not self tend unless you use the lanyard trick or I suppose some kind of chest attachment, hoping to give the RW a decent try out this week on some tallish pines.

  7. I am on my second bag and I ripped the arse out of that one and had to completely re stitch with whipping twine, my mate had the same problem so we decided to get are own made, no biggie.

  12. I had very bad wrist problems for a while, it was painful to even pick up a cup of coffee, I had a couple of sessions with my physio who worked on my hands and lower arms solving the problem, I no longer get wrist trouble.

  15. Wednesday night, ten minutes after walking through the door following a holiday I get a text to ask if I could climb today, I was just doing the parts that the Teupen couldn't reach, used my Tachyon today, wish I had binned the PI a while ago after that. Pictures in all kinds of disorder.

  21. Ugly old 8 strand towing rope for a friend, covered in oil even though I washed it twice, small neat eye already there, I spliced the odd looking large eye, not nice. Rope will be used to tow 1930's Bentleys and Fraser Nash automobiles.

  24. Nice Craig, I remember Moray on the Buzz did a break test of 8mm Beeline e2e with the double-braid splice. It failed at 5016 lbs.
