  1. He put £450 in to fell, firewood and chip everything.
  2. [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rnon9_qAAg&feature=related[/ame] [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKTy0adlyns&feature=related[/ame] The other two
  3. [ame] [/ame] This is one of three videos posted as instructional. What do you guy's think of it's content? I'd like them removed from the net personally
  4. lol Andy, i've just done the laundry and the dishes
  5. Nice truck, they are still very pricey over here. Never seen a decent one for less than about £7k
  6. http://www.accuweather.com/ukie/index-forecast.asp?postalcode=hd3+3ub&Submit1=GO%21 They always get the current bit right I use the met office usually, better than most, but hey it's sunny so apart from cancelling my work, it's nice to sit here with the back door open relaxing
  7. Some one shoot the weatherman!!! Sunshine and hardly a breath of wind. See!
  8. I'm gonna pick the truck up from the mechanics, do a bit of paperwork n drink coffee. I hope the worst misses us as we don't have severe winds yet
  9. if your in the industry, it's not hard to guess. You tell me of a company that will not fell large tree because they don't have the ticket?
  10. even sticky style gloves?
  11. Same as, i usually charge so I can take my time, rushing just increases the risk factor. To put those pics in perspective the lime is well over 30in dbh, and the chesnut prob 40in min.
  12. You guy's charge a pemium for stormdamage/structually unsound trees?
  13. I suspect stihl developed those fuel caps in an attempt to remove idiot groundies from the work place
  14. Back pressure for reliability? The engines are actully suppressed (to reduce emissions) increasing the temp in the piston and pot. On a serious note, it's not for everyone as they are loud
  15. I did as I said. Is the plug fouled?
  16. OUCH!
  17. translation? exhaust?
  18. Never a great thing! Thread; http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=1309&page=5 Wow, answered 2 questions in one post
  19. It's all down to money. If saws were made to the standards and build quality that we desire the cost would be prohibitive. As it was said ealier in real terms prices have come down. When stuff breaks I just pander my consumerist urges and buy a lovely shinny new one!!
  20. I was refering to the gometry not tha actual structure of the bridge
  21. Is it remote controled? Hiab style cranes are becoming more sophisticated and applicable to arb work. Mike poor from Treebuzz has an amazing rig [ame] [/ame]
  22. Nice delicate work. Looks more like a reduction by thinning than a normal reduction, which is great in my books
  23. From what i've heard (word of mouth) refreshers are recomended for both climbing and felling tickets. Getting further units is acceptable I believe
  24. 3rd that. A bridge needs to be wide and flat otherwise any rotation would be resticted and hard work
  25. Cool idea, I'll teach it you, and you run the courses.
