  1. Surely these are busses that ferry kids to schools out of the catchment area though?
  2. Yep I appreciate that’s a bit different
  3. There’s a local bus service in our village. Never seen more than 3 people on it. I’d imagine it’s a similar story throughout the country. It’s surely a service that is haemorrhaging money. expect a lot more stuff to disappear over the next few years
  4. Cheaper yes, but less economical surely?
  5. Not sure there necessarily is an answer to your question. People tend to use what they prefer to use. I would say though that with Ddrt there is less of a tendency to set and work from the same anchor that you set from the ground. Its more likely for someone on Ddrt to setting for a half decent throwline shot to get them into the main(climbable) part of the crown, often settling for a large limb, as a pose to an SRT climber who might want to get a suitable anchor from the get go.
  6. It will be a long drawn out and tiring 3 days. sorry to spoil the surprise 😀
  7. I’ll be there Friday and Saturday. Bringing my son on a little jolly
  8. Bit of a poor effort. Seen better ones
  9. Nope double sided male version for men who Pee standing up, like this one
  10. Not used the new model but it’s completely different to the original Robin. incidentally I still have a Robin. Been in the shop a few times over the years but it’s still the best hedge cutter out there IMO
  11. But that’s the only time the bottom half of his 30m climbing rope gets out of the bag for a breather
  12. Echo is a fine choice for hedge cutters
  13. So glad i'll never have to do one of those again.
  14. Have you added yourself here yet? https://arbtalk.co.uk/find-a-freelancer/
  15. Perhaps he was thinking of the early entecs, those things didn’t like deadwood at all 😀
  16. Make sure you stick your head inside the hedge and have a proper look. A picture from the outside rarely tells the whole story. Also don't get caught out on the width of the hedge.
  17. No, a hedge trimmer wont be enough. In fact you could potentially be looking at heavy timber in the middle, if for example it was previously a 30ft leylandii hedge and had been cut down to 15ft previously. More info required.

  19. Not familiar with the lanyard rope but from the image it appears it might be quite a firm rope? I know the hitch cord certainly is. general rule of thumb is to use a soft hitch cord with a firm role and vice versa. it all being new doesn’t help though either.
  20. Your'e running the rigging rope on the outside rather than through the ring?
  21. No you can’t. I can sort out access to your other account later
  22. Skip huh 😀 i think everyone of a certain age had a pair of electricity board spikes at one time of other
