  4. The UK’s leading manufacturer of professional wood chippers, Timberwolf, has extended its unrivalled customer support with the introduction of an industry first, five-year manufacturer’s warranty. The option to increase the standard three year warranty up to a total of five years is available across the entire Timberwolf range, and can even be applied to older machines still within their original three year warranty period, offering complete peace of mind. Combined with the industry’s strongest support network - featuring 17 dealers and over 250 Timberwolf trained technicians operating from 38 depots across the country - this industry first warranty further strengthens Timberwolf’s unrivalled customer support offering. Guy Marshlain, Sales and Marketing Director at Timberwolf, said: “We work hard to build strong relationships with customers and dealers to ensure our products and services are at the forefront of our industry, offering power, strength and support no other manufacturer can. “After speaking with customers, we developed our new warranty option to provide complete peace of mind, extending our warranty cover for longer, so customers can focus on their businesses, safe in the knowledge they won’t be facing unexpected repair costs. Put simply, buying a Timberwolf provides much more than a machine.” Over the last 30 years, the Suffolk-based company has manufactured more than 13,500 machines, providing a wide range of industry-defining petrol and diesel wood chippers for those working in arboriculture. Customers have access to support founded on three decades of industry expertise and engineering excellence to combat all challenges faced by modern arborists. This marketing-leading support has seen Timberwolf receive high levels of positive customer feedback with 99% of customers, since August 2018, saying they would recommend Timberwolf to someone else. Timberwolf’s industry expertise and guidance can be best viewed through the launch of its ‘All the Facts, #NoOmissions’ campaign which brought clarity to new government engine emission legislation – known as ‘Stage V – in January this year. A number of ‘myths’ had become prevalent in the industry, with many incorrectly believing diesel powered wood chippers could no longer be used or purchased due to the new rules affecting non-road mobile machinery, including wood chippers. Timberwolf’s awareness campaign, educated and reassured the customers and the wider industry that pre-Stage V diesel wood chippers above 25HP could still be used and traded after the implementation of the new rules. 10. The second guys taking the piss obviously, as for the first. Well thats how big companies run now. 30 days is actually pretty good! I often wait in excess of 90 days.
  11. But I’d also add they are both pretty rubbish compared to any modern day climbing system
  12. Blake’s performs better than a prussik, no contest on my opinion
  13. Image is everything, particularly if you are trying to portray a professional image and earn the money associated with that. Hairstyles, tattooes, piercings etc....well theres limits isn't there. I doubt most of your customers would want this guy in their garden
  14. Contact https://Kingwell-holdings.co.uk for best prices
  15. Yep, you'll be lucky if it fits
  16. ? Was the course leader sponsored by Husqvarna by any chance?
  17. Obviously
  18. I would say yes, more or less. There seems to be certain saws from each manufacturer that get slated more than others. It would be interesting to know what the split was between husky and stihl users. I expect it would be hard to find out, and I doubt many dealers would want to divulge such information publicly.
  19. Level of service was crap anyway. 3 times I went in there to get an 020 repaired, each time being greeted with blank stares. Gave up on the end, not a wonder they closed down
  20. Even the mighty spud isn't safe from Brexit ?

  24. Elgan Pugh from Wales has been crowned the best lumberjack athlete in the country for the fifth consecutive time at the 2019 STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® British Championship, after breaking his own national record in the final discipline, the Hot Saw. Hosted in the picturesque surroundings of Blenheim Palace, as part of BBC Countryfile Live, the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® British Championship saw the top 12 lumberjack athletes from all over Great Britain compete in a head-to-head race against time across six disciplines. Using an axe, crosscut saw and chainsaw, competitors are awarded maximum points for the fastest time in each discipline; Stock Saw, Underhand Chop, Single Buck, Standing Block Chop, Springboard and Hot Saw. In a competition that saw competitors push themselves to the limit, 16 personal best times were set which kept a packed crowd on the edge of their seats. Whilst Elgan claimed the top spot, an ecstatic Johnny Lewis came in a close second reaching the podium for the first time with Glen Penlington taking third place. Spike Milton, STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Global Sports Director, said: “The British TIMBERSPORTS® Championship pushes athletes to a new level of performance and this year was no different with the competitors showcasing the skill and technique required to compete on the biggest British stage. Each athlete has completed a rigorous training programme in preparation for this event and this was clear to see in what was an action packed and stellar British TIMBERSPORTS® Championship. “We now look forward to the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® World Championship in Prague, where we have the difficult decision of choosing Team GB representatives from this great pool of talent.” Elgan said of his victory: “To be crowned the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® British Champion is a fantastic feeling and one I am very proud of. I have been training intensively for this event and it’s great to see that it all paid off in the end.” To find out more about the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Series please visit https://blog.stihl.co.uk/timbersports/ STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® British Championship - the six disciplines: Springboard – athletes slot two springboards into a vertical tree trunk then chop through a block of wood at the top of the tree, nearly 3m above the ground Stock Saw – athletes race to cut two timber “cookies” with a chainsaw from a horizontally set log.
