  1. Vesp, kindly refrain from posting on this thread from hereon in, you are polluting what would otherwise be a beneficial topic to people who actually climb trees. Thanks
  2. i'll pm you a price, although I expect Chris will be able to give you a fairer one on this occassion.
  3. What sort of oak is that?
  4. Yeah I was thinking about that the other day actually. The original designs were quote popular, I could do another batch. Time is the issue though.
  5. Beings as they are one of the best trousers on the market, I expect plenty
  6. Well this at least explains why you can't afford to spend £30 on a t-shirt i guess
  7. This is far from scientific but I have always 'assumed' that an upright tree will dry out or season a lot quicker than a log laying horizontal due simply to gravity. Possibly talking out of my arse, but this is why I have always believed dead standing Elm makes such a great wood for burning, whereas you could cut and stack green elm and it will take forever to dry and still not burn as well.
  8. Don’t start Joe, he’ll be telling me how to design websites next
  9. I deleted it at the members request
  10. How many trees do you need testing? If it’s multiples I can travel that far
  11. And the fact that a climber Has told you it’s lasted 12 years and is breathable isnt good enough? I give up ?
  12. Hopefully longer. Those saws go on and on...for arborists anyway, I expect millers get through them a bit quicker
  13. a fuel injected 881 would be interesting!
  14. And yet soft at the same time
  15. So I assume vesp knows what the unique fibres pfanner T-shirt’s are made of as he researched everything
  16. One thing I’ve learned, unless you have used a product personally over time refrain from commenting on it, lest you look the fool yourself
  17. I’ve had other sports type T-shirt’s and they are of differing quality, none of which have matched up to the pfanners
  18. That was take 2...I forgot to hold my gut in first time round ?
  19. I just shared this thread to facebook. Facebook literally couldn't have picked a better random image for the preview
  20. Mentioned this in the gamechanger thread but decided it was worth its own thread. What t-shirts do you wear when climbing? I started wearing Pfanners after being gifted one a little over 12 years ago. Loved it from day one and went straight out and bought a few more and its all i've worn since...literally, those same 4 t-shirts. They don't rip like cotton t-shirts on the smallest peg or thorn, they are cooler to wear, and if you have the misfortune of being a particularly sweaty person, they literally dry off within 5 minutes at break time. Pictured 12+ year old t-shirt It's only had 3 new zips, 5 new collars, and 7 new sleeves
  21. Absolutely, especially the Pfanner ones. I was given one for free about 12 years ago by Fletcher Stewarts as an apology for an issue I was having with a pair of stretch air trousers. It was so comfortable I went straight out and bought another 3. Cost around £30 a piece at the time I believe....I thought they were quite expensive but looked worth the money. Believe it or not this is one of those same t-shirts 12 years on, cheapest t-shirts I ever bought!
  22. Oak Processionary Moth (OPM) caterpillars found on trees recently imported from the Netherlands. Horticulture industry urged to be vigilant for signs of tree pest - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK Oak Processionary Moth (OPM) caterpillars found on trees recently imported from the Netherlands. Some more info on Oak Processionary Moth in this article by the Arb Association last year:
  23. His name might not be familiar, but I’m sure his products are. Rope guide, lock jack and spider jack to make a few
