Israel is now like a mini US - they can bully the Arabs all they like - stealing Palestinian land in the West Bank for decades, destroying Gaza and now an incursion into Syria and Lebanon.

A taste of their own medicine wouldnt go amiss

I did see the other day that more Nigerian Christian’s have been murdered in Nigeria than the total of Hamas supporters in Palestine … but no I genuinely don’t think they need a taste of there own medicine, the Jewish state and its people have fought for there survival, I do feel obviously for the Palestinians who have had land taken off them but in the far bigger picture it’s insignificant to what is happening all over the world.

I'd also go as far as the Australian politicians are asking, why does anyone generally need more than 1 or 2 - a few very specific cases I would guess but in the UK hunting does not need more than 1 gun, maybe 2

It’s far better to say nothing about something you have no knowledge of.
1 gun only 🤔Right today I’m gonna get my 308 and head out to shoot rats at one of the farms I have permission on, this evening ill use my 22LR to go after some Sika and maybe get the shotgun out for some long range shots on Reds.
SP/TA 🤷‍♂️do you have any idea how wrong any of the above actions would be  you bloody idiot.

Maybe the motive of the person pulling the trigger and in this case the blatant police failings are a more appropriate thing to look at.
PS

No guesswork when shooting at live animals. Best to go for a clean quick humane despatch. I’m not into a slow agonising death for animals SP/TA, unlike the religion of peace’s preferred slaughter method🤔

Well he is not wrong, if there wasn't any guns than nobody would have been shot!

Human beings will find a way. In all the recent UK terror attacks where countless innocent people have been killed by those followers of the religion of peace, how many guns were used ???
That argument might work if everyone followed the rules. Remember TB saying Labour “ had taken the handguns off the streets of the uk” 🤔err no you didn’t, you took them off those who followed the rules, those who didn’t just carried on as before.
The Dunblane shootings,Yet another example of massive police failings swept under the carpet. Similar to what undoubtedly will happen in Australia.

I stopped listening to the BBC because imo they were probably Israel, and they seemed to be giving farage a massive platform and the greens didn't get a look despite having the same number of seats.

Three good points all. I wonder how much of that bias is due to Robbie Gibb's influence behind the scenes at the BBC.

Reform get many times more airtime than  Green. Whilst Orange get virtually no mention at all, despite 12 times more seats.

To be fair Reform are setting the agenda despite having only a handful of seats, so they do indeed get a lot of airtime as they have huge influence.

Australia has alot of introduced animals that are classed as pests, same as NZ. Each time firearms laws are tightened the number of these pests increases because of the fewer number of firearms and those suitable for pest control deminishes.

I used to get paid to shoot ferals, started with a bolt action, then a semi auto SKS,then a mini 14 with a can. With each upgrade my tallies rose. All of the blokes who did this on the weekend or after work had an effect greater or equal to the official cullers. When semi autos were effectively banned in Aus and NZ the feral populations have exploded threatening many native species with extinction, especially those native birds and lizards which nest on the ground. Some Australian native species like the Casserey are devastated

While its true that some cullers have access to semi autos the draconian restrictions on even minor spare parts means that the gun is out of action for weeks as you have to apply for any spare part. All magazines are serial numbered woe betide anyone who drops one out of a helicopter because your fcuked if someone finds it and hands it in.

so it doesn't matter whatever war crimes Israel has perpetrated in levelling Gaza, coz others have done even worse in Africa. Considering there were only 2 million Gazans of course the numbers don't compare with a big continent like Africa, India, China.

Regarding your earlier comment 'has Israel ever fired a nuke?' Well no, not yet. But neither has Russia.

When Israel started bombing blocks of flats in Gaza and none of the neighbours could cross the border for fear of being nuked, in my tiny mind that is the same as Poland others not being able to help Ukraine (for fear of being nuked by Russia).

If Israel is the only nuclear power in the region they can continue to steal land with impunity and there's no one to stop them. Anyway I suppose taking your broader view of things - the Arabs will have to suck it up - like Rome did. Hopefully Israel one day goes the way of Rome too.

Israel have a history of defending themselves and prioritising their country's safety.  Horrible things happen in war it is true.  But can you imagine if they hadn't responded strongly to the 7 October massacre?

Palestinians have a habit of committing acts of terror throughout the world in collaboration with Iran.  The biggest terrorist act in the UK was carried out by palestinians.  I know which lot I would rather disappear.

Israel doesn't have any interest in peace in the region though. The more it's neighbours attack then the more it justifies the land grabs it wants. So it suits their agenda to keep some violence going against it's neighbours, keep some hatred in the region, some attacks on Israel and Israel can then take the land it wants for 'protection'.

Neither side are pure victims, neither side are pure aggressors. Neither side want peace in the region - or indeed as Bondi Beach shows, worldwide.
