So the speaker of the house, the one and only John Bercow, gets re-elected as an MP with no opposition parties opposing him. Surely that can't be right?

Yes. Its an unwritten rule that the major parties dont oppose the speaker.

Unfortunately berk cow is my mp so i havent had a vote for a few elections now and i think its ridiculous.

I can either vote tory, the most useless green mp you can imagine or an independent.

At least you lot get a vote! Not a lot of choice but a vote all the same!

I think it's fair to assume we are all doing alright when it comes to finding work at the moment, what happens if labour gets in and the proposed garden tax takes place and homes will be at least getting 2-4K a year more tax, these are homes that most of us provide a service too , it will knock the arb industry massively... maybe even destroying most of our work is my thought.

Matty, from what I've read, the majority of people paying normal council tax rates would be largely unaffected. People with big houses can always afford tree work, they're just shrewd. That's why they've got big houses...
