OK, take the ethnicity, the (alleged) crime and the profession of the accused out of the equation - then ask - 2 injuries requiring hospital treatment whilst in police custody within a week?

Now try changing some of the constituent parts (the alleged crime, the ethnicity and the profession) and how do you think the news and public reaction might be different?

 

All I’m saying is, those that seem to want to champion the civil liberties of pre convicted assumed offenders seem to have some kind of selective ‘lens’ on their goggles.

Remember the Griff rhys jones and Mel Smith sketch . They were traffic cops . Big car chase all over the place hitting this and bumping that . Police car was all beat up and knackerd . Sargent came out and said " Blimy , what happened to that "   They replied   " It fell down the stairs sir " 😄

What can we take from that then?

 

2 seemingly similar scenarios in fairly quick succession. 
 

1 alleged perp a white copper in London

1 an immigrant in the Shires

 

1 is internationally news worthy

the other no more than the local rag. 
 

Must be a ‘regional’ thing.....😒
