Anti terrorism in this country is dealt with by the ctc, a special unit that has little or nothing to do with street plod. To suggest chucking extra money at more street plod in the belief its going to make one iota of difference to the problems we face is ludicrous , ramp up the efforts of the ctc and arm a few more officers within city areas. Cant see what more can be done.

I can see some of the attractiveness of some of his social reform agendas, but I simply can't reconcile how anyone could seriously consider a vote for this man / cabinet.

After a resounding thrashing on Thursday, hopefully the Labour Party will consign this man to the history books and get on with forming a viable opposition.

Absolutely. I'd love to see a decent opposition. I reckon his heart is in the right place but he's too weak to lead a country, strikes me better suited as a parish councillor. Check out the video a few pages back about him and Abbott bleating on about how they want to copy Venezuela and then look at the state of the country after a few years of socialism, starvation, hyper inflation, mass unemployment

Felix, we simply can't have 1 on 1 police for every nut-job. You must recognise that?

The only person responsible for the recent acts is the perpetrator.

Police? what we saw in London on Saturday night was a Jihadi guerrilla attack, we need to ask ourselves if regular law enforcement is the answer?

MI6 need to create a hybrid terrorist fighting unit with the SAS and get busy kicking doors in and dragging these scumbags out of houses followed by deportation or full term life sentences in a yet to be built maximum security prison.

Check this out. News crews from CNN and BBC 'apparently stumbled' across and impromptu campaign again ISIS.

Really?

It looks pretty scripted to me.

I really don't know where to turn these days for the truth.

What are you thought on that Matelot, as you called me dillusional the other day.?

Well that's the front page for tomorrow's ''Guardian'' sorted.

Labour can have all the police they want but if the man at the top doesn't have a problem with people supporting Isis and going off to fight and equally doesn't think they should be shot when carrying out these attacks

Giving a speech in Carlisle yesterday, he talked about taking the talk to Saudi Arabia who fund Isis. You'll not see May doing that.

If you were in control and the police knew of someone that was becoming radicalised what would you have them do? I'm only asking as you seem more to the left than most and I've not heard a solution from that side of thinking

There's organisations out there like prevent: What is Prevent? - Lets Talk About It

But I reckon all responsive measures to these things are a bit of a cop out. You ned to nip things in the bud by taking things to the source and sorting it out like grown ups.

So we just roll over and accept the attacks as part and parcel of everyday life? I seem to remember Sadiq Khan being pilloried when he was quoted out of context as taking the same stance.

Nobody is saying that the perpetrator isn't responsible for the act, but who is responsible for the opportunity to commit the act unimpeded?
