At home in bed with flu-ish stuff going on today. Got completely soaked and freezing the other day and had to come away from a big connie removal for the second time.

I find that medium sized open canopy stuff is do-able in the wind with a bit of rigging. It's the really tall whippy stuff I don't like.

Today was meant to be horrible, but the weather people got it wrong. Blue skies all day, dusk wasn't until 17.20, seen a few shooting stars on my way to the Indian. After a solid month of rain between showers, no light until 8.30, four o'clock darkness, cracking day, the clear skies dropped the temp right down to where it should be this time of year, even that was nice as the high temperatures were starting to get unnerving. Didn't get to any jobs, just spent the day welding my new trailer up, sitting by the stove now with a glass of red, kids in bed, probably dose off in half an hour, love it:thumbup1:

Haven't seen blue sky for about two months. Soaked this morning on slippery sycamore. Managed ok. Then it dried up, got colder and the wind got up. To be honest, it was easier working in the rain, than in the wind. Getting more and more sick of this weather. Worst rains I can remember. If it's too bad, then I just take the day off.

Plenty of bravado about working in crap weather but today was gash..forgot jacket n ended up shivering n sneezing up a skinny birch:lol:

Sod the bravado, i'd far rather be sat at home in the dry a little worse off. I'd like to say its because of my age, but I guess i've always been a bit of a wuss really :blushing:
