My PS5105 went pop for the third time in its 4 year life today! decided to eat its piston rings this time, not really done much work either! shame as it was nice to use but that's it for me, wont touch them again.

That seems incredibly poor. Sorry to hear that.

It is really poor, isn't it. Thing is I've got a 1977 Dolmar 112 and a 1995 PS6000i and they both run great so Dolmar definitely used to know how to make proper saws that last.

Yeah it is poor, both times it has been rebuilt under warranty, this time it’s on the scrap shelf, only ever run on aspen aswell

I have been gifted a 119. Compression is low and all rubber has perished . Is it possable to get parts?

Most parts are NLA for this Saw but it does share its chassis with four other models 

112 114 117 119 and you find Parts saws come up pretty cheap sometimes 

You’ll find it’s a strong Saw once you get it running

Thanks shave. I'll keep my eyes open. Can the carb be swapped for anything else or just refurb what's on it?

It should be. a Walbro or tillotson  on there  I’ve got a parts list I will PM too you tomorrow

A big Thank You to Shavey for the Delivery of another Dolmar PS-6100... I was so impressed with the first one that I thought it would be good to have another to add to my collection. As the PS-6100 is my go to chainsaw.
