Doesn't look too bad from the photo, but there was no way it was coming out with my old little tractor on turf tyres.

Nothing more demoralising than unloading a trailer by hand that you have just loaded by hand and then having to re-load it again by hand!

Haha great thread idea, wish I had picks of all the times the bits of kit got stuck but when the wagon is stuck in the bottom of a field and it's 7 o'clock on a Friday evening the last thing I think about is taking photos. Just a lot of effing and blinding and thinking of dinner and shower to come. Will make an effort to get picks next time.

Friends little dear found a wet spot and I got a sos to go rescue him and a pond clearing job that the dumper had to be helped out the slops every time.

Normally when we get proper stuck it's either cold wet or dark but normally all 3 so pictures don't happen, will have a look on old pc for some of the rescue missions we have been on as make an effort to photograph them for bragging rites.

There are plenty more with no photos!!

These things keep going and going. Until they are laid on their bellies, then it's like a bodyboard they sit there wheels spinning whatever you do.

We probably only get set in the mud twice a season with one of these with a damcon tree lifter on the back.

Years of practice have taught us what we can get away with.

An implement like the one in the picture just creates more reason to not grip once it's bellied.

The storey goes that when RJP Nutt was engaged in dredging works at Carrickfergus Harbour back in the 50's or 60's, such works only being possible at low tide.

Any old RJP himsel called up one day when the tide was in, to find his No1. dozer driver looking pensive while smoking a pipe atop the Harbour wall.

RJP asked why he was looking so thoughtful.

Yer man says "Patta, can sommat be lost if ye know where it is?"

Patta replied "Dont be a very silly man, of course not!" , or words to that effect.

Yer Dozer Driver then motions with his pipe down towards the water, as he says "Thats a relief then, cos Yer Dozer's no lost, fer shes down in there for sure"
