Doesn't pay well and some misguided souls might argue it's not work... but tea/coffee tasting is pretty good. Other than that and in a previous life, drystone walling, doing the 'Tree safety check' each morning before Joe public were around. And being a walking-talking public information centre, (south & central lakes area).

Felling to the head is one of my favourite jobs - felling trees all day and no clear up.

 

I like dismantles, big or small both have their own plus points.

 

Challenging storm damaged trees is probably my other favourite, the stuff you've got to plan and work carefully to avoid damaging the new deck next to the greenhouse at the orphanage that's got a whopping great tree hung above it.
