Winch clutch let go and stuck itself together having a good chew at the drum.
Got the joy of putting it back together this week.

You have to get those faces machined? Or new parts? New clutch plate obv

Face has now been cleaned up and got new clutch to fit, not the first winch I've had to do this too, lot easier than a fixed double drummer on a county to work on.

Sliding mitre saw went the way of most of them - shame it is a PITA to get the gears as spares but all these modern gadgets are sold on a 'don't repair it but replace it' warranty. And this is well out of warranty. Time for a new one - anyone recommend a European make worthy of a DIYer?

Does that count towards CPD

Contributes towards Written Warning - I would check driveshaft n reset tyre tracking ... With that bloke bearing the cost.  K
