I'm talking about income, you currently get £1600 per head, per year, more than English people. If you simply kept all the tax generated in Scotland, your income would fall by £9Billion. Of cause you would be free to raise your taxes.

it does for my fellow countrymen. I don't see why I should pay tax so that someone can sneak into the country hiding beneath and lorry and get £25k of HIV treatment a year.

Lol, people on this thread are complaining about benefits being cut for the disabled etc. They wouldn't have to be cut if immigrants never came to the UK to claim benefits....

Yes we would, sounds fine to me. Would rather pay more tax than be slagged off for getting the big end of Barnett formula, reason we get that is the cost of living, maybe we should all move next door to you? On second thoughts....

Excluding oil and gas Scotland raises in tax 8.2% of uk revunue with 8.3% of the population but if you add in the oil and gas it brings it up to 9.9%. So going by that does it not mean that they put more in per capita than the rest of the uk?
