It's quite straight forward:

 

D7 exemption required if burning at the site the waste was generated (or get the customer to light the fire as a domestic bonfire.)

 

If it's untreated green waste such as arisings from hedge trimming, the waste code is 02 01 03 Plant Tissue AN (absolute non-hazard)

 

If it is being moved from the site where it was generated, registration on the lower tier as a waste carrier is required and a waste transfer ticket required using the code above.

 

That's all you need if it's going to a registered waste reception centre.

 

If you are batching / storing / burning at your own site you're into a whole raft of registrations and licences as a waste reception / processing centre.

 

If the council are on the case it's probably wise to abide by the regs.

let all the brash dry before burning - less smoke, and don't use a tyre to start your fire, that alone is trouble. use some dry bash as kindling, then burn at night.

Why not make or invest in an air burner, or just up your price to the customer and let them pay for the disposal. It should all be included in the quote.

 

Alternatively you could always just tip it in a lay-by or country lane like many individuals do near me.

I use accelerants very sparingly, filling a tyre with diesel is usually enough.
