I suffer from Reynauds Syndrome (poor circulation) in my hands, always have done.

ย

Apart from decent gloves, of which I have a massive selection for various applications, does anyone have any tips for toasty mitts? Especially when climbing. Cupping the exhaust of the 540 helped today, but it's not great on Silky work!

I have heard Sailing gloves are meant to be pretty good...

When I was younger I worked for a window cleaning firm (gloves didn't work in that application) .

In the winter months our hands took a real battering always wet and full of detergent. Not nice.

There were things we could do to help Iike don't touch metal ladders with your bare hands and always ask the customer for buckets of hot water

to wash our gear in thereby helping keep warm. (Don't know how helpful that would be when doing treework)

We used to use stuff from the chemist called snowfire. It didn't warm our hands up but it stopped them from splitting from the cold and detergent.

You can also get those little hand warmers that release heat when you snap them.

My mrs has Raynaud's and her mum bought her some special gloves of the internet.

You should be able to get some to match your new climbing helmet :)

Could be worth trying a pair of woolen gloves under your current ones. I saw a program with a swedish skier who recommended woolen gloves first to trap heat, then wind/waterproof gloves over the top

Good tip!!:thumbup1: I've never seen a sheep shivering :thumbup1:
