Politely explain why the job will not be done the way he expects it to be done, giving your requirements and pointing out the necessity of aerial rescue. If he still won't listen, calmly pack up your kit and go home. Some people don't know but some people don't want to know and nothing you do will change that. :001_rolleyes:

Can it not be cut and chucked??

Is the guy your working for an experienced climber??

There are always two sides to these stories, many years ago I sent a team to deal with a wind blown Oak blocking a road, I had not seen the job, it was a council call out, the team leader rang me saying it need a crane and would take days, I went and two of us had the job completed in 4 hours, with just saws and a chipper.

none of what you have said makes it an impossible job

put some leaflets on the cars asking them not to park there

rig down smaller bits

take it easy around the phone lines

the one thing you haven't mentioned and I'd worry more about is pedestrians

that's when you need a clued up groundie

Never ever rig off your own line mate, stupid old idea, to be honest if you don't feel confident for whatever reason don't do it. Just in the future always check what the job is before you turn up, I always make sure about lowering kit, and job spec a few days in advance

Whats wrong with light rigging on your climbing rope?
