All round chainsaw protective trousers follow the same line of thinking as the protective jackets.

 

Designed by and approved by those not involved in the industry.IMHO.

 

I watched a new climber the other day sporting a pair of dashing chainsaw proof overalls (they exisit here in Scandinavia) and trying not to imagine what that person will smell like at the end of a hot weeks weather.

within my company we have discussed type c over type a and decided that it is down to the climber at the end of the day and as long as the R/A supports wearing type a trousers then it will be deemed acceptable , however when looking for type a trousers we came accros the sip fredom 2 trousers , they are light , flexible , hard wearing and have protection all round on the lower leg , i stronly reccomend that anyone thinking about climbing in type A's to try the sip freedom 2's
