How many miles d,ya reckon you could put on your Chevy ?

I hear 7.5 toners being mentioned and Chevys, the main reason I would be buying an L/C apart from reliability and robustness is for its size. It is a vehicle that could replace the defender in its abilities and size for getting up small narrow drives

Chevys and 7.5 tonners are not really cut out for domestic work :001_rolleyes:

I know the Land-Cruiser has a good reputation in Oz, the Middle-East and Africa, but does anyone know how well they hold up to our Maritime climate? I always liked the old style Land-Cruiser, but they were pretty utilitarian, are the new ones any better in terms of comfort? If they are, are they still reliable? £45k seems an awful lot of money to me, it would take an awful lot to persuade me they're that much better than the competition.

On the question of size, I recall somewhere, once-upon-a-time, reading some Austrian or Swiss spec for military vehicles, which included a width/length/height limit.

So as to all these vehicles to access otherwise inaccessible areas.

America is indeed a large country, and so much of its infrastructure grew up around the motor vehicle, that they virtually never have any cause to pay heed to vehicle sizes being too big.

For our old world sometimes meadieval, constraints.
