I nearly lost my little girl when she was 4 monthes to meningitis she had nearly 16 injections in one afternoon and i had to hold her tight while the nurse done a lumber puncture on her spine,it was the most horrific week of my life and will never forget the day the peadriatric nurse told me she may not make it !.fortunatly she is now 7 next week with no effects from such a horrible illness .

i regularly make donations to now because of it being so close to home ,obviously not every one is gona make a donation to meningitis trust but to some people it means the world .

like others have said something has gota be better than nothing. and to some one out there its gona mean a whole lot more to ,more than we could ever understand , so if it brings a smile to a little child to see one direction all dressed up then so be it ! good on em :thumbup1:

When was the last time anyone on here got up and selflessly raised money for charity? I have great admiration for these people who leave their comfort zones and raise the money. They may be bad comics or has been singers but with the profile they have they raise an unbelievable amount. So clap clap clap to all of them.

My avatar says it all mate.. Might not be a children's charity. Or trying to feed a third world but I have raised money and helped raise and will do in the future.

Plus a selfless act of going out in stupid weather to assist in the saving of a life. Or putting ourselves in harms way. Like last night going out to a dredge with a bomb it dug up. Could have blown and had the lot of us but still went.

Some charity I see as more than worth my time but others I find hard to swallow. My son was in hospital with broncholitis at 2months and I will always donate to them that took care of him as he would not be here today if it wasn't for them.

Hey, I wasn't meaning that no one does anything. I know a lot of people do. But I also know that a lot of people don't!
