Are they going to actually manage them as proper pollards do you think?

 

 

Hopefully, there are about 100 trees in total, we are going back in November for another week on em. They seem up for having us in every 3 years or so to keep on top of them and money no object, will probably be sick of the sight of them after the next couple of days!

Not really a todays job thread because the lads have been in there a month. 40 acre MOD woodland cleanup , light thinning hand cut and stacked/chipped with the breaks mulched for the soldiers to play in.

Spreading beech to get down today. Nearly everything rigged to avoid plants hedges patio and a delicate looking retaining wall on the left of the tree, everything down on the deck today with just a big ringing session tomorrow morning as client keeping all the timber for his new woodburner, rather him than me trying to split that 40" knotty trunk with an axe!

Rather small compared to all your big jobs but this was my first attempt at doing a bit of a crown reduction on a Laurel. Took about 6' off and removed all the deadwood.

Not big , but got me trying out my climbing gear and I just love climbing around in trees.

Would like to have just removed a bit more from a couple of limbs but the owner said she was happy … so , what do you do ?!!

 

It's all good practice
