For my first go on SRT this afternoon I had this turd to polish. Previously heavily reduced Birch with lots of decay in the old wounds. I was quite pleased how it came out all things considered, although I suspect the next visit will be a fell. No before pic.

A week of pine removals, been a busy week with one thing and another but the guys managed to get a few snaps today when we removed the last tree and timber from the other four with a crane

So I got invited to the DMM factory. Got allowed to take a few snaps.

 

The ethos on product quality was next level stuff. After every stage they checked them to ensure they are to the standard. Tested, inspected, tested again. I honestly did not appreciate how much goes into and how many karabiners get made in a week.

 

It was really cool to talk to the guys and girls making whichever product they were making. All lovely people with knowledge of what they are making rather than a factory line as such.

 

Also I'm glad I'm a passenger in the car today as DMM really know how to drink.

It would be interesting to see how they get ridiculous strength out of the tiny accessory krabs ! Think they are one of my favourite inventions at the moment for clipping on working SRT accessories.
