Done a lot of work in this garden over the years for different owners.

Oak, and ash, out, chipped, ground and split, full Monty if you like.

Finished up a 2 day job on Monday. First day was last Thursday and we got the two smaller trees down to the concrete. The trees were filled with concrete by some bright spark back in 1935. OUr job was to get the crown out down the the steel bracing and concrete. I also did half the larger tree and we went back today to finish off. Scheduled for Friday but it was snowing like buggery so we knocked it on the head.

The largest of the trees was growing over a kindergarten and there were 4 smaller trees to preserve so I rigged 80% down. Freefalled what I could and even though we weren’t asked to fell the stems due to concrete we popped the big one over with the excavator. Hollow as hell.

Smashed chains on the 881, 661, 500i and a couple of 400’s.
Grabbed a few pictures.

Went back and finished the clear up on a job we were rained off of couple of weeks back.

limited access so rather than the usual 15 tonner I roped in a guy I met on another job.

Firewood dealer with aspirations to go into milling, so he took the pines and the sequoia.

Getting the biggest lump of sequoia on his little combo was a bit of a palaver, but he did it.

Notice my use of a little round piece to get the lump moving on the ground.

Egyptian style!

We are currently taking bets as to how long this is going to take to clear up 😨A7D3895F-F097-4AD6-8152-DFDDBFEFF653.thumb.jpeg.c55c96265725feb1116fff9c01d87536.jpeg

Not long with a box of matches, but quite a whilst with a Gloria.
