Tonights job

Lighting the Richmond beacon for the Queens birthday.

Found standing on the truck was easier to feed it than ladders.

 

I took my boy to the beacon burn at Okeford Hill in Dorset. They had a bar and bbq which was good. It was great looking into the distance and seeing maybe 6 or 7 other beacons in the distance.

Couple from today , the oak had a back lean towards lots of buildings so needed stripping out which took me most of the day , the lime had two thirds of its crown blow out and was deemed knackered, Like me by the end of the today !
