Must get back in the habit of photographing my work. I rarely do these days. Today was cutting back a high pollarded chestnut back to previous. About a million cuts to make and the weather wasn't kind either. Back there next week so will try get a photo

A couple of shots of the end of a big conifer clearance/ dismantle today. Been back and forward on this job due to the weather. 11 trees altogether. Really glad to have got the last one done.

Reducing a tall oak

Jim and Olli deadwood these two macros in the sleet today. Then Jim cut his finger, just shows saws are sharp even when they are switched off.

 

Oh and a wall fell over randomly whilst we were on site.

Did that wall really just fall over, or did your crew knock it over?

stripping ivy off a 3,storey house ,great .

Yeah they are. We measured them at just over 31m spec was a 1 - 2m reduction on the leaning one I was roped into, was nice and slippy as it rained heavily overnight. That bottom limb in walking back in on was about 8m - 10m off the deck at a guess. We took three skinner ones in the group down and they were a similar height but about 16 - 18 inch at the base and had a fair bit of movement up top!

No word of a lie, it's fell over all by itself. Thankfully we had some cleaners on site to vouch for us.

 

A few from today, well this morning.

 

A load of macrocarpas failed and we've got to deck the rest next week. No pics of them across the road as 3am isn't my most awake time of the day. Then down to the site we were at yesterday to clear next doors tree up that fell through the fence and a wind throw of a single branch.

 

 

And finished the day off with a dead cherry removal.

 

Oh and a yew and dogwood to take out.

Big uke to remove today. Was a man down so had to bosh a load and come down and help clean up, 14m of chip and not sure on logs as had a steady stream of wood vultures thankfully having the timber away, was just left with the main trunk to remove which was quite a size.
