I can see a lot of people interested in using a tracked crane now...save on rigging and blocking in tight spaces etc...

 

That's why we got it in and because there was a bunker under one of the limes that couldn't have lumps dropped on. Trees weren't massive by any stretch, about 60ft tall at best and dbh of 40 inch at the widest. The chestnut was knarly as hell and snatching and blocking that down would have been a nightmare, took about an hour to pick the stem in total lifting between 500kg and 1.2t Ton at a time.
