How on earth will a Landy help me lol, I've had a 130 Tipper and a 90 and hated them both! Im so so not a landy kinda person. They look mint but thats where it ends for me.

The reason for me wanting a Mog is to assist me with commercial work ie large scale site clearance work

if yr doing site work get a tractor with a roof mount & chipper & trailer ,or a big tracked chipper

You're very lucky, I contacted Stan twice about trading my Mog and chipper for that U20 and chipper. He never bothered to get back to me

Seems to be a lot of it about recently. Two weeks ago I asked Paul at Overland for their bank details so I could send £11K for a Schliesing. He never called back despite me leaving another eight messages for him!

The recession obviously doesn't apply to some people. :confused1:

I can only speak for my own business but if generator sales drop so does our staffing level . With less staff its harder to do quotes. Also we have noticed alot more people asking for quotes for work that will never be done its a paper exercise to keep there office looking busy. It costs about 2 hrs to take a phone call and prepare a quote so £78 we make about £500 on a 10k generator we get about 1 in 10 so why bother ?

Just looked it up and wow yes that would do me!

Now then...... what sort of money are they?

You could pick something up for 15k maybe, I had a valmet with roof mount botex that cost 18k, if you have the work they are great. You could just get a tractor with 3 point linkage crane and still have trailer, or front pto with chipper?? Crane on the back. There are lots of options with tractors.

Chris a roofmount is probably a great solution for what you have in mind, with a big grain trailer.

Where are you based? I'm from Otterburn, and the lads up there do some serious distances to jobs because of the low population density.

This thread has struck a chord with me.

I need to trim the fat on my Transit crewcab (I carry far too much gear). I'm going to shoot my dog and get a 9-stone groundy for a start.

The crewcab isn't a great idea anyway (I never have bodies in the rear seats), but I couldn't go back to a single cab with all the tools loaded in and out the bed all day.

I've often thought about a 4x4 super or king cab, but am worried about the limited bed space. To stay legal, though, it might not be a bad idea.

I reckon legally my Transit can carry a level load of chip in the original bed.
