IMO if your a larger companies running various different vehicles you should be able to meet regulations ie you've got yard OL not too hard, big job big truck small job small truck. Now I'm not saying its easy.

My situation: transit on the drive (just), no yard so no chance of an OL let alone space for the larger truck. I don't have a car and I have worked hard to build by business but work can vary and I can't justify the rent on a yard as I just wouldn't use it enough. I do my best not to overload but sometimes it's just very hard to avoid and what would I do when my truck was in for it's regular checks.

 

I think this is systemic problem eventually going back to competition and prices but I agree if transit etc where 4500ks it would make thinks safer and easier for us all.
