Same here and back roads along the Rother are flooded. Long way round to take the dogs to the woods for a couple of days.

Quite a nice day here today. Bit of sun in the morning, which makes a bloody change as it's persistently drizzled for about two weeks now! But at least no storms or torrential rain. It's just a bit miserable.

Rain all night and apparently it’s chaos here again judging by posts in the local Facebook group. Certainly not as bad as the other week and for the most part people are just being hysterical. Roads are closed, schools are closing etc etc.

 

if there’s one thing the nation learned exceptionally well from covid it’s how to be as lazy as possible, and how it’s acceptable to cower under a rock at the first sign of trouble or hardship.

 

anyway, before the electricity goes out I must go and make myself a hot chocolate and snuggle under my blanket
