Actually AJ , I am nursing a double single malt with a dash of tap water in the form of Auchentoshan finished in American Oak barels . Really smooth and smokey . 😀

I'm finding an Outmeal Stout quite nice and warming at the moment. Now that it's been mentioned I think I'll avail myself to a cheeky rum before bed as well.

I see this appropriately is post number 999!   Minus 3.2 last night here in Lincolnshire.  Still freezing.  I thought we were meant to be warming, children would never see snow again ( snowed here yesterday) would never be able to ice skate again ( the puddles down the farm track take the weight of the car). I thought that the Arctic was meant to be ice free by 2012.  The Science is proven!

We have four fires burning in the house, sorry about the emissions

Well thank goodness I have a “ vanity van” crew cab 4x4. 

That’s the daughter stuck in Aberdeen no trains no buses due to the snow up here. 
Not looking forward to trying to get in from Turriff. 
Not sure what the council is playing at but no sight of any gritters or ploughs, local farmers are keeping the roads open. 
Hopefully the public sector bods make an appearance tomorrow after their holidays.
