Ive seen over the years dogs on site, with domestic landscapers and tree surgeons

breeds mainly being springers and lots of jack russels.

What do you guys think of having a dog on site or do any of you have one?

Just wondering what peoples opinions are?

Im not thinking of getting one by the way, can just look after myself...

It depends on the job and the dog. If we're at the yard he comes along, if we're working in the Botanic Gardens he doesn't. Have to be well behaved too, my Huntaway is more than happy to sleep in the truck. We're working by a beech today clearing scrub so he can come along! He loves it!

If the dog is trained and doesn't get in the way then fine I guess - but I wouldn't do it. The way I see it it's one more thing to take your attention away from what you're doing and in any work involving chainsaws you really need to be 100% mind in the job.
