Can I now ask if this has any significance to the Willow. I note that it is saprotrophic so is the proximity to the tree a clue as to what may be happening underground??

I'm still not convinced, that your pictures from the base of the willow depict Clavulina coralloides, so my request would be to go back in a week or so and photograph what has developed by then.

Gerrit, thank you. I shall see what develops and we shall try again to get a formal identification from photographs if possible :thumbup1:

Although I have not looked at it for some time my tree fungus app no longer shows pictures. Is it me; have I missed an update. Any info would be good

 

Try installing it again when you have wifi connection.

 

It won't cost any extra

Apologies if I am just being thick, but where has the fungi directory moved to? I've had a look but I feel like someone returning to my old town to find it has been redeveloped and I no longer know my way around.
